For the spring, I’ve been inspired by the orange/blue combo of this colorful living room I found online. Because I can never be bothered to actually paint my apartment walls, I love the idea that just a few pops of bright colors through fabrics and lighting can really warm up a dull living space.
My parents gave me this sofa for my first apartment, and while I’m not particularly in love with it, I do appreciate the fact that it was FREE. If you’re interested, this sofa was from Rooms to Go, called the Valley Crest Camel Sofa ($388).
With that said, I love the ideas of keeping major room elements neutral (walls, sofa, carpet) and really glamming up a small space with bright colors. These are a few items I’ve found online that have me drooling right now for a cozy and eclectic apartment living room space.
I love not only mixing colors, which these complementary oranges and blues do beautifully, but I also like mixing patterns and textures as well. The geometric shapes on the pillows blend really nicely with the blue chevron stripes of the other pillow againt the backdrop of a neutral sofa.

What do you think about an orange/blue living room combo? I think it looks fresh and fun, which is ideal for a drab, beige apartment in desperate need of some TLC. Pop a nice vaseof yellow tulips on the coffee table, and I think it makes for a lovely living space. Please feel free to share your finds or ideas in the comments below!
